Day 22 theme is ‘my shoes’.
I left my boots piled up on the lounge floor for all of friday evening hoping the cat would snuggle then like she usually does, thus providing me with a cute photo opportunity. But she didn’t, so instead here are mine and MrFO5’s shoes, chilling whilst the girls watched a cheesy magician at their autism play and stay club.
Day 23 theme is ‘Something old’.
I also considered a photo of MrFO5 for this one but decided to show you something not quite as old as him instead. This used to be the lamp besides my bed when I was a child, these days it gathers dust on a shelf in my bedroom, lampless but still loved!
I just love to listen to her read, she sounds just like me when I read to her………..
I take photo’s, lots of them, far too many in fact. I currently have 3500 that I need to move from my memory card and on to a separate hard drive, then I have to file them in to folders for each month, then I have to go through them and decide which ones should be printed, then I have to put all the prints in to the albums.
I have lacked the time to sort/organise/print and display the photo’s lately, but I’ve not stopped taking photo’s. I really need to get on top of things because my girls love photo’s and they enjoy looking back through our albums and remembering special times.
Big girl said to me today ‘we have lots of lovely memories in our heads now don’t we mommy’ and they do!
Below are some of our lovely moments from over Easter.
Feeding the ducks with cousins after a lovely sunny picnic in the park.
Testing out their skills on a climbing wall!
Hungry Hippos with Daddy!
Exploring the woodlands and following maps!
They love a trip to the hair salon!
Watching films and eating Easter Eggs, Epic!
Baby girl and Auntie checking out their ability to see in the dark!!
Admiring the stain glass windows of a beautiful church!
Their favorite pass time, posing for photo’s!

I love family traditions, but we don’t really have many, in fact I can’t think of any. Being a fairly new family we haven’t had time to form any ‘traditions’ as such.
I bought the girls a lovely advent calendar this year. Each day there is a little book to read, as a collection they tell the story of the ‘Nutcracker’.
They’re really enjoying hearing a teeny instalment of the story each day. Could this be a new christmas tradition, I’d like to think so.

No words needed……..
Today my view has mostly been of this.
Baby girl had a lovely 13hours of sleep last night and today she’s been full of laughter and smiles.
We went to the zoo today. They’ve never really been much of a hit in the past. Today was no exception.
Each animal/display/event was glanced at for no more than 3 seconds before a chorus of ‘I want to see something else now’ was heard.
We’ve all smiled, giggled and enjoyed being with each other. No one moaned about the heat, no one nagged or whined, no one got told off (well except daddy but that’s nothing new), and no one cried, ok well perhaps I secretly shed a tear or two in the car on the way home over my aching legs and sore feet and I sure daddy filled up when he found out how much we’d spent, but over all, even though the zoo was naff and the girls really had very little interest in anything other than the ice creams we ate, we’ve all shared a lovely sunny family day!
